Position: Full-time Intern

Research Area: Web Search and Mining

Work Location: Beijing

Overview

Researchers in the Web Search and Mining Area are turning their ideas into reality in areas such as computer vision, pattern recognition, machine learning. Projects pushing the state-of-the-art forward include multimedia related research.

Required Qualifications:

· MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science or any related technical field

· Good reading, written, and oral English;

· Strong in signal and image processing

· Solid mathematics (linear algebra, optimization, statistics)

· Background in machine learning (clustering, learning, classification)

· Good programming skills or have related project experience;

· Good communication skills and excellent teamwork.

· Can commit at least 6 months internship, can get your advisor’s approval.

Group: IT Group

Overview

MSRA IT is a team provides professional IT solutions internally. We engineer and support IT systems to enable research in Asia region for Microsoft.

Roles & Responsibilities

· Manage project schedule to meet business needs.

· Develop internal applications using ASP.NET, SharePoint, SQL and etc.

· Maintain internal Line-of-Business tools using Microsoft Technology Stack such as ASP.Net, C#, SQL and etc.

· Add features and debug web applications.

Required Qualifications

· BA or BS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

· Strong knowledge of web development using Visual Studio.Net.

· Two or more years’ experience with Microsoft Technology Stack, e.g. ASP.NET MVC, .NET, C#, WCF, LINQ, ADO.NET, SQL, BI, HTML/CSS, IIS, etc.

· Excellent communication skills, collaboration skills and self-motivation.

· Good spoken and written English.

· Experience with Windows Phone or Windows Azure development is a plus.

Overview

Innovation Engineering Group (IEG) is hiring interns as SDE role.
Innovation Engineering is a new incubation group in Microsoft Research Asia looking for Research Software Development Engineers to take development in incubation projects from early stage ideas to deployed prototypes with business potential to become “the next big thing”.

Roles & Responsibilities

We are recruiting interns to work on data visualization project. The duties will cover data analysis, data visualization, user experience design, system design and implementation.

Required Qualifications:

· BS/MS in Computer Science / Electrical Engineering or any related technical field and possess the following skills:

     a. Excellent programming skills at C++/C#/JavaScript;

     b. Experience in data analysis / data visualization is a plus;

     c. Experience in user experience design is a plus;

     d. Experience in Office Plugin development is a plus;

· Self-motivated, fast learning on cutting edge technology;

· Good communication skills and excellent teamwork;

· Can commit at least 6 months internship, can get your advisor’s approval.
